To record measurement of the extent of motion for a specified simple or complex movement around an indentified joint or section of the spine.
Use
Use to record the measurement of the extent of motion for a specified simple or complex movement around an indentified joint or section of the spine.
This archetype has been specifically designed to be used in the 'Examination findings' SLOT within the CLUSTER.exam or a specialisation of CLUSTER.exam for a specific joint, but can also be used within other ENTRY or CLUSTER archetypes where clinically appropriate.
The examined joint is identified in the 'System or structure examined' element of the CLUSTER.exam archetype in which this archetype is nested. In order to be able to record multiple movements several instances of this archetype will need to be used.
Common motions around a joint have been added to the DV_CODED_TEXT data type in the 'Movement' data element. As further joint movements are identified, these can be added to this list over time.
This archetype has been specifically designed to be used in the 'Examination findings' SLOT within the CLUSTER.exam or a specialisation of CLUSTER.exam for a specific joint, but can also be used within other ENTRY or CLUSTER archetypes where clinically appropriate.
